Made-in-America

'Conscious America’ is a site designed, in hope, to show that we can control many critical aspects of our lives, if we choose to accept responsibility for the choices that we make.

Truth (has nothing to do with us)Date Released: 05/08/2005
Truth - is one of the most basic and powerful elements in the Universe. Yet, we have managed to live our lives ignoring this essential principal.

When President Bush made his "Axis of Evil" speech, remember how many voices pleaded to hush such statements. "We know they are evil", they would say. "But why do you have to mention them", they would continue. The reason it pained these creatures to hear such statements, was because it is the Truth. And they, as well as so many of us, hate the Truth. They could not deny that the mentioned governments (in the speech) were evil - that is the power of Truth, yet were not willing to confront such evil.

Then, the next most obvious option is to ignore or distort the Truth and pretend that it's not part of our lives, "has nothing to do with us" (our motto). Otherwise, we'd have to accept that we are willing to tolerate such evil, allowing it to reign undeterred, spreading the pain, suffering and hatred. And most people cannot live with such guilt - we have a strong inherent desire to believe that we are good. Therefore, we choose to live in hiding, and anytime a voice is raised speaking the Truth, it is crushed.

It is unnaturally easy for people to ignore the Truth. There is no segment in our society that idealizes the Truth or even discusses it. News organizations, that originally (at least that is what the legend says) vowed to spread the Truth, engage in spreading their own biased views, under the pretense of Truth. Our government, had never even pretended to uphold the Truth (it upholds the Law). And our society has divided itself into different groups (political, social, etc.) and view the world and their own actions through the prism of that group's beliefs.

The power of the Truth is that it cannot be denied, but we learned to ignore it and distort it, so we could live with ourselves.
